Face Mask Review: Lush- Don’t Look At Me

I just Blued myself: We love face masks and are always up to try a new one. This time we tried Lush cosmetics- Don’t Look At Me. Lush claims all their products are 100% cruelty free, vegan and handmade. This definitely applies to their fresh face masks. Oh! The best part is if you bring 5 empty lush pots you get a face mask free. It is definitely a step in the right direction in reducing waste.  So you get great skin and a clean conscience.  The only downside- since they are preservative free they must be used pretty quick, sometimes within two weeks.  Since Marit and me have completely different skin types, besides the obvious colour. She has dry, sensitive skin while I have combination skin that is dull and has uneven skin tone we wondered if it would deliver results for us both? Did it work? Our verdict: Yes! The 10 Step Korean Skin Care Routine

Since My last post was about essence and I spoke about the Korean 10 step program one of the first questions I received was  from my friend Eirini  and I’m paraphrasing here- “ sorry if it is a stupid question, but what are the ten steps?”   It was pretty naive of me to assume that everyone knew what the ten steps were, thus here’s a post about the ten steps. Remember the ten step routine is rooted in being gentle and being kind to your skin. Step 1:  Cleanse with an oil based cleanser.   The double cleanse is the backbone of Korean beauty routine. Comprising of first washing your face with an oil based cleanser- which helps remove oil based impurities: makeup, sebum, sunscreen and all extra grime. So when I fell into the wonderful world of korean skin care, one of the most used buzzwords was essence and my first reaction was- WTF is an essence? 🤔🤔🤔 Known as the heart of the Korean Skin care regimen, Essence is essentially (pardon the pun), any product with the aim to hydrate the skin and prepare it for any subsequent products you use.
